Description of the project
The Call Challenge: The Challenges mention: “There are a number of significant common threats which have a cross-border impact on security and safety within the EU, and security has become a key factor in ensuring a high quality of life in the European society and in protecting our critical infrastructures through preventing and tackling common threats”.

Offers for the proposal - As the Call is open for participants from Third countries, there is possibility to join international efforts to fight against of crime and terrorism. Crime is spreading rapidly around the world. The borders of states cannot be protected from criminals because of increasing the people mobility. Social aspects are very important in the fight against crime, and primarily it concerns the youth. 
The project work programme can include an early stage monitoring the psychological state of the young generation as well as action plan to intervene promptly in the development of the psyche of the child or young person for the purpose of educate them as patriotic persons respecting the rights. The project can involve wide circle of the criminological, sociological, psychological and educational research institutions and centers, as well as judicial authorities and prosecutor's offices.

Role of organisation in the project - Partner

Contribution of Partner - KUAM researchers will develop the system of special psychological tests that detect human propensity for violence, aggression, their attitude to religion and their level of religious knowledge, intelligence and the ability to respond to the received information. It allows identifying tendency of youth to terrorist danger deviant behaviour. 

KUAM has all capacities to contribute into the tasks identified in the call documents, such as:
• investigation of high impact domestic violence for prevention and early warning of terrorist threat deviant behaviour and the legal abuse among youth and adolescents;
• prediction and identification of risk factors for antisocial behaviour;
• development of a policy-making toolkit, for security policy-makers;
• development of common approaches for the long-term security measures based on legal and ethical rules of operation; 
• development of toolkits for law enforcement agencies, based and validated against the needs and requirements expressed by practitioners;
• creation of database of population prone to criminal and extremist associations for monitoring and early prevention;
• development of methodologies for the training of specialists in the field of behavioural science;
• assessment of risks/threats and identifying relevant risk-based security measures;
• implementation and effectiveness of the quality of the developed methods to use in practice.

Additional information - Kazakhstan participates in the EU Framework Programmes since 1992. Horizon 2020 NCP in Kazakhstan, hosted by Independent Expert Consulting Board to Promote Scientific Research Activity in Kazakhstan (InExCB-KZ), is one of most steadily working NCPs since 1996. It has good experience to involve the Kazakh scientific and innovation community into the EU Framework Programmes. InExCB-KZ participated in 17 networking and research projects co-funded by the EU Framework Programmes. Its dedicated staff knows in deep rules of H2020, and is ready to support the proposal initiated by the KUAM.
