Description of the project offered: 
Social media can be a powerful tool to foster change in the prevention and in the combat of gender based violence, but to be effective they need the support of activities directly carried out on the ground in tight relationship with the public services institutionally devoted to this theme. 
With DIGINEXT we want to make a web portal on the lifestyles of the minors 18 years old. The WEB portal will contain two different sections: a section in Italian language for each Italian city participating to the project with a short presentation in English language; an European section, in national language preceded by a short presentation in English and Italian language, which will host videos from other European cities posted through a dedicated video channel on Instagram or Youtube. Thus the web portal become a “container of contents” posted through social media by minors 18 and a disseminator of healthy culture on issues joined to the gender violence; a tool for activating minors 18 as protagonists of the awareness campaign, on the life skills, healthy behaviors and active research.
The second innovative aspect of DIGINEXT project’s is the “community's communication”. It means to put the communication at urban community level. Main actors of the community's communication are: professional street outreach workers and the volunteers of the local NGOs. Professional street outreach workers play a major role of intermediation between the places where young people meet each other and, through the social media, the web portal. They identify the minors 18 and involve them in the project through the organization of social activities such as street art, sport events, fashion videos or news finalized to encourage the critical thinking, the consensus to a healthy sexual relationship, to claim their rights, to provide girls and boys under 18 with information and skills related to gender equality, healthy relationship, gender stereotypes and social roles, respect for other etc.., through contents created by themselves and published on social media.
Volunteers of NGOs, are called to work in team with the professional street outreach workers and to act as “community leaders”. A “community leader” is a person (i.e. a sport coach, an artist, an educator, an influencer etc..) of a well defined urban area (ex. a district) who becomes the reference for the minors 18 of such urban area. Each “community leader” manages a “Social street community”, a social media group open only to the members of such defined urban area where it is possible to drawn strategies and initiatives aiming at encouraging the fight against gender violence. Such initiatives will be strictly connected with the social services.
