2016-12-02 Italy: Infant Biomedical Solutions in the Wearable Technology Market

Infant Biomedical Solutions in the Wearable Technology Market

Description of the project offered:
The problem that Evotion team, with the collaboration of Neuromed Institute wants to resolve, is the sense of anxiety and preoccupation that many parents point out for the health of their children. This problem is significant mainly for mom at the first maternity and tie the third year of age. Evotion is a company set up to offer a sense of relief to new mothers who are constantly worrying about their children’s health.
Evotion is able to realize a monitoring system capable of capturing biometric data of the infant.
The detected data are: heartbeat, motion, temperature, sweating and intensity of crying and, through an external device (eg. Smart hub), environmental data such as humidity
and temperature.
The device worn by the infant will send all the detected data to a smart hub, which is directly linked to a cloud platform. The cloud, then, will store and analyze all the inputs data using a specific algorithm.
The parents are able to consult with a dedicated smartphone/desktop APP, all the data concerning their infant’s health in every moment of the day.
Moreover, data mining and big data analysis will allow the company to elaborate and extract data implementing the business in other sectors (eg pharma/hospital/insurance).
