2016-08-25 Hungary: SPORTSAFETY-Cloud Based Sport Safety Analytics Using Next Generation Sensor Technologies

SPORTSAFETY-Cloud Based Sport Safety Analytics Using Next Generation Sensor Technologies

Description of the project offered:
Our consortium aims at further developing, testing and validating our SportSafety solution to collect real-time data from the athletes using a non-intrusive device i.e. vital health sensor, smart watch or different kind of activity sensors which bring significant real time information for the teams /managers /trainers /doctors and the coaches. The real time predictive algorithm based on the sensor data analytics is devoted to find different hidden patterns in the variety of data. With semantic web (linked data) tools our IoT Cloud application helps to show the own personal progress of the players enabling them to challenge even higher scores while keeping their health conditions under control. It allows us not only to plan different type of training programs, but also to monitor the whole process and arrive to a detailed summary of each workout after its completion. Further, it reviews how the players are progressing toward their planned exercise goals. In case of injury it enables to predict the fastest and safest recovery time needed for the injured athlete.
Our SportSafety solution is dedicated especially for indoor games like ice hockey, futsal, basketball and handball and could be extended to elderly care also in a later phase. In the first phase of market entry (2019-2021) our target group will be ice hockey and handball teams because of the few competitors in that field. The market need is also undermined with the request for such application received from Japan.
