    A Dutch SME, which specializes in the breeding of large numbers of a limited but supported  range of visually appealing plants is looking for research institutions and/or industrial partners to develop extraction technologies and applications for natural methyl salicylate from the Gaultheria Procumbens plant.
    The company is seeking partners  for cooperation within the framework of a license agreement, a research cooperation agreement or a manufacturing agreement. 
    
    The Dutch company specializes in large numbers of garden plants from a limited but supported  range. 
    They grow plant products with good intrinsic (health) and extrinsic (external) quality. Products include Gaultheria, Skimmia Reevesiana, Hebe, Blosjz, Agapanthus, Fargesia, Cornus Canadensis, Pernettya, Vaccinium Vites Idea and Calocephalus. 
    
    The nursery is fully customized and automated. The plants are propagated in-house and with own material. In this way good breeding and starting material is guaranteed, which is crucial for a good start of a crop. 
    With this approach they obtain the desired quality and a  guarantee of the products from seed or cutting to finished product.
    The company is strong in product development of plants and arrangements for modern-day consumers. The company cooperates closely with specialists and partners in the field of DNA isolation ‘cut flower genetics’ and  breeding.
    
    The plant parts of Gaultheria contain methyl salicylate which is a valuable functional component. Methyl salicylate is used in the food-, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Currently this component is mainly produced chemically. The SME expects to be able to significantly increase the concentration of this component in the plant through new sophisticated and rapid breeding and cultivation technology. Higher concentrations of methyl salicylate in the plant parts should result in a more efficient extraction process.
    
    The SME is looking for research institutions and/or industrial partners that can offer technological solutions for the extraction and new applications of this biobased  methylsalicylate.
    The company is seeking partners  for cooperation within the framework of a license agreement, a research cooperation agreement or a manufacturing agreement.
