2015-11-21 Ireland: Implementing Psycho-Social Interventions for Parents of Children with a Disability in Low Income Countries

Implementing Psycho-Social Interventions for Parents of Children with a Disability in Low Income Countries

Description of the project offered:
The project aims to implement and evaluate the upscaling of pycho-social interventions in very rural communities in Malawi and Zambia.

Evidence from small scale projects show that parents with disabilities in low to very low income countries do not have access to and are in need of psycho-social support in their communities.

Pilot research on the development of psycho-social interventions show that these interventions are needed and further development of culture specific interventions are required.
