2015-11-11 Italy: Innovative Hydroponic Systems for Buildings

 Innovative Hydroponic Systems for Buildings

Description of the project offered:
The project proposal intends to realize a sustainable supply feeding for public or private buildings.

It is aimed at achieving hydroponic units for the selective cultivation of plants suitable for human consumption, to be placed on the roofs of the interested buildings.

The supply of the hydroponic system will be realized through a closed circuit water network on a system of tanks, in which you could practice fish farming.

Organic waste of the fishes, eventually added to any organic additives, will serve as fertilizer for plants in the hydroponic system.

Electrical parts will be powered by renewable energy systems, creating a prototype totally self-sufficient and independent from external supplies.

The created system will be located in different European regions, in order to test the effectiveness in presence of varying environmental conditions
