 Development of Molecular Switches for Inducible Gene Expression 

Description of the project offered: 
We would like to optimize currently available inducible gene expression systems to offer alternatives to systems like the well known tetracyclin inducible expression systems.
Polygene AG is a leading professional provider for the generation of customized animal models of human disease. In order to improve such animal models we would like to develop innovative expression models that finally can be used to mimic human disease in the animal model.

Description of the collaboration sought: 
Polygene's core expertise is genome engineering in embryonic stem cells and the generation of genetically modified mice. The ideal partner has a proven track record in random mutagenesis and molecular evolution, either in bacteria and/or in yeast. Ideally, together we can set-up assays to improve currently available inducible expression systems, first in model systems and later on in eukaryotic cells and in vivo.
